On 16 October 2025, Malta marks the eighth anniversary of the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was killed by a car bomb outside her home for dedicating her life to exposing corruption and organised crime.

We at Repubblika and #occupyjustice are organising a series of activities to honour her memory, defend her legacy, and renew our commitment to truth, justice, and democracy.

These activities are not just commemorations: they are a reaffirmation that Daphne’s struggle must continue until Malta is freed from corruption and impunity.

He was president of the Federazione Nazionale Stampa Italiana (FNSI) and is the founder and leader of Articolo 21, a movement for freedom of expression.
