EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A career opportunity has arisen for an experienced person with the right attitude and drive to succeed in the role of Executive Officer of Repubblika -a voluntary organisation which seeks to promote civil rights, democratic life, the rule of law, free speech, personal freedoms, social inclusion, environmental conservation, economic sustainability, and equality of access, by means of active participation in the national discourse and related educational, social and charitable initiatives.

The post advertised is for a part-time position with the possibility of becoming full-time upon review after a period of six months.

The chosen candidate will take direction from the President and will be accountable to the Executive Committee of Repubblika for the development, communication and execution of strategic plans to facilitate the continued success of the organisation. The Executive Officer will be expected to lead the development of annual goals and to work closely with the President and Executive Committee to guide the successful execution of strategies that promote the organisation’s values to the wider community.

The ideal candidate should have a track record of successful leadership and experience working with boards of directors identifying areas of risk and opportunities for growth. The Executive Officer will work closely with the President and Committee of Repubblika but also be a decisive leader, capable of making efficient and effective decisions to positively effect organisational success.

The successful candidate’s leadership skills should include the ability to build a collaborative team. Furthermore, the person occupying this role must also be an exceptional communicator who keeps stakeholders informed. They must also build a strong relationship with local and foreign media. Above all, the chosen candidate must share the vision and core values of the organisation.
