“We want to show our appreciation for the great contribution Robert has given and will continue to give to our organisation and to our country,” said Prof Vicki Ann Cremona, President of Repubblika.
The Executive Committee appointed Robert Aquilina to this post after he served as President of Repubblika for the past three and a half years. Before that, he had served as co-founder, Secretary General, and Vice President of the organisation. Robert Aquilina had also coordinated the 2019-2020 mass protests.
In addition, the Executive Committee agreed that Robert Aquilina continues to:
• lead and represent Repubblika in the challenge case we brought against the Commissioner of Police regarding the criminals of Pilatus Bank;
• follow and represent Repubblika in the case we brought against the Attorney General for her decision to save the Pilatus Bank clique from prison be declared illegal and null; and
• follow and represent Repubblika in all matters related to the magisterial inquiry achieved by Repubblika on the fraudulent sale of the three public hospitals.
