LEARN TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Join our

YOUTH CAMP on Democracy and Activism

When

2-5 September, 2025

Where

Xewkija, Gozo

What you’ll learn

Freedom. Rights. Responsibilities. Citizenship. Participation. Activism. Resilience.

You’ll learn what all these ideas mean and how to put them into practice to make the country and the world a better place. Learn how you can contribute to policy making, protecting fundamental rights, promoting social justice and defending the rule of law. Find out about the social re-use of confiscated and abandoned properties as a way to fight back against organised crime.

How you’ll learn

You will learn from experts, activists, one another, and from direct experience: for four days, you will create and run your own mini-democracy in a Civic Lab. You’ll also make a concrete contribution: a morning of manual work at a social organisation in Gozo.

Outcomes

You’ll learn to become more active, courageous and hopeful agents of democratic change. And you’ll make new, possibly lifelong friends who share the same passion and commitment to change.

Accommodation

You’ll be staying in shared rooms at the three-star Mariblu Hotel in Xewkija, Gozo, a clean, family-run establishment that offers a good breakfast and a nice pool to use during your free time.
