A Government that defends the corrupt and hides their theft

Repubblika considers that the vote of the government against a public inquiry that would have seen the truth emerge about the dirty contract which now appears to be stained with the blood of Daphne Caruana Galizia, is an insult to the Maltese people and a slap in the face of democracy.

The Prime Minister, Robert Abela and his government must understand that their duty lies with citizens and not with defending their corrupt friends – Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri.

This vote unmasks the hypocrisy of those who shed crocodile tears and who in order to look good declare that they feel betrayed, that they do not form part of the kitchen cabinet and do not know what was going on or do not remember anything.

We as citizens have a right to the whole truth about how, by whom and in what instances we are being robbed.

Robert Abela has an obligation towards the people and the truth. His friends and colleagues have a duty to stand up to be counted and to stop being cowards.

Prime Minister, Repubblika promises you that it will not rest before the whole truth is known and until every person involved in the filthy Electrogas deal answers for their actions.
