Repubblika rejects the lies that are being spread across social media alleging that it has received, or is receiving some form of funding from the \u2018Malta Community Chest Fund\u2019.\u00a0 Without entering into the merits of eligibility, Repubblika declares that it has neither asked nor received any funds from the Community Chest Fund. The lies are being spread with the intention to deceive the public, and show the work of voluntary organisations in a bad light. Repubblika notes with disgust that a denigratory campaign inciting against NGOs has been taking place for several months. This campaign has often been upheld by the government, its officials and sympathisers. This is unacceptable in a democracy.
