This campaign promotes a culture of democracy, respect for human rights and rule of law. It will publish books for children and produce radio and social media content to promote active & responsible citizenship. A national students\u2019 competition will be held yearly.<\/p>

The endless list of crimes and other forms of abuse, in particular the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, and the widespread grave misconduct, malpractices and scandals the Maltese people have witnessed in these past years, have revealed very serious deficiencies in the way our national institutions operate and also in our educational system.<\/p>

By means of this campaign, Repubblika intends to promote active and responsible citizenship and a culture of democracy, respect for human rights and the rule of law.<\/p>

The campaign is based on a\u00a0declaration of values and principles\u00a0published on Repubblika\u2019s website.<\/p>

It will seek to publish books for school children to further the aims of the campaign. A\u00a0national students\u2019 competition\u00a0leading to a Democracy Evening celebrating their work and the project as a whole will be held annually.<\/p>

The campaign will also take the form of radio promos and social media videos to promote the values and principles at its basis, and to denounce the many malpractices in our society, including political patronage.<\/p>

The collaboration of NGOs who share Repubblika\u2019s vision will be sought.<\/p>

Local councils will be asked to endorse and actively promote this campaign.<\/p>
