        "rendered": "<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 16 October 2025, Malta marks the eighth anniversary of the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was killed by a car bomb outside her home for dedicating her life to exposing corruption and organised crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We at Repubblika and #occupyjustice are organising a series of activities to honour her memory, defend her legacy, and renew our commitment to truth, justice, and democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These activities are not just commemorations: they are a reaffirmation that Daphne\u2019s struggle must continue until Malta is freed from corruption and impunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Programme of Activities<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saturday, 11 October 2025<\/strong><br>11:00. A prominent voice in Europe for good governance, transparency, and accountability. His work was instrumental in raising international interest in the investigation into the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\\\"wp-block-separator\\\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\\\"wp-block-image\\\"><figure class=\\\"alignleft size-thumbnail\\\"><img src=\\\"https:\/\/repubblika.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Giuseppe-Giulietti-150x150.webp\\\" alt=\\\"\\\" class=\\\"wp-image-7375\\\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Giuseppe Giulietti<\/strong> is an Italian journalist and trade unionist who served as a member of the Italian Parliament. He was president of the Federazione Nazionale Stampa Italiana (FNSI) and is the founder and leader of Articolo 21, a movement for freedom of expression. Giulietti has long been at the forefront of defending threatened journalists and is a leading advocate for press freedom in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\\\"wp-block-separator\\\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organisation of these events entails considerable costs.
